The Esraza Temple was located on the celestial body Oligtaz in the Southern Core portion of the Core Worlds. It was known to the wider galaxy by 10,000 BBY. Early explorers described the structure as a reality-warping nexus that granted visitors the abilities of teleportation and farseeing. Eventually, the Esraza Temple was included in the Twenty Wonders of the Galaxy—a list of spectactular, antique artificial objects that the historian Vicendi compiled in 10,000 BBY for the publication Arturum Galactinum.
At one point during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, the Esraza Temple was replicated in the environment room—which was used to host detailed reproductions of exotic locales—aboard the luxury liner Kuari Princess while it was voyaging along the Outer Rim Territories' Relgim Run hyperlane. By 43 ABY, the temple lay in ruins, and researchers hypothesized that the structure had been situated above a cavern of lumni-spice.
