Farshore was a section of the Great Basin region of Akiva, a jungle planet in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. It was situated on the shore of the basin's Lake Amari.
In 3 ABY, the thief Kay Vess was involved in an incident on Akiva that caused her to be wanted by the Galactic Empire. Shortly afterwards he was spotted in the Farshore area and an Imperial dispatcher report the sighting to the Imperial forces who were searching for her.
