Canon Linked from 2 articles
The Colonies planet Ghorman had a capital square. In approximately 19 BBY, Ghormanian citizens massed in the square and at the planet's spaceports to protest a new Imperial tax. The Imperial Captain Wilhuff Tarkin landed his warship on top of the protestors, killing hundreds or thousands in what would be known as the Ghorman Massacre.
