The Great Chott salt flat was a sodium-rich desert flat on the planet Tatooine. It was located in the southeastern end of the Jundland Wastes and bordered the Dune Sea. The most important settlement of the Great Chott was the city of Anchorhead. A network of moisture farms, including the homesteads of the Lars and Darklighter families, was organized around Anchorhead, making water extraction the principal business of the town and the region.
