The Iliri Spine was a ridge located on the moon of Arli that was blanketed with dark moss and spindly grasses. The ridge was overtaken by a blight that had begun to consume the entire moon, which left the Iliri Spine gray and lifeless. When Jordanna Sparkburn, a member of the San Tekka clan who had grown up on Arli's moon, returned to find her family with the help of relative Cair San Tekka, the pair flew over the dessicated landscape in the Brightbird, with Sparkburn recognizing the Iliri Spine.
