Imperial doonium refinery

An Imperial doonium refinery was a doonium mine and refinery constructed near the Tann Province on Ryloth by the Galactic Empire shortly after its formation in 19 BBY. The Empire claimed that the refinery would bring jobs to the Twi'lek population, and it was intended as the first of many sites. However, locals such as Eleni Syndulla and Gobi Glie were suspicious of the Empire's motives, noting that the new government was being very secretive for a group which was trying to claim they had nothing to hide. Syndulla further found the refinery's turbolasers and use of military personnel concerning, as the Empire had claimed it was not a military outpost.
