The Imperial Sanctum of the Imperial Palace on Coruscant served as the seat of the Galactic Emperor following the death of Palpatine aboard the Death Star at the battle over Endor in 4 ABY. A lower throne room beneath the chamber atop the Palace, the Sanctum served as the private residence of the Emperor during his reign.
