The throne room of the Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center on Coruscant served as the public seat of the Galactic Emperor from the foundation of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY at the end of the Clone Wars. Serving only as a temporary home for the throne while the formal residence was prepared at the newly named Imperial Palace, Emperor Palpatine vacated the throne room upon moving to the Palace.
