A Jedi outpost was located on the Outer Rim Territories astronomical object Tempes. Constructed during the High Republic Era, the outpost housed several Jedi artifacts, including holocrons and Jedi Temple Guard armor, during the Imperial Era. During this time, aspiring Jedi Luke Skywalker traveled to the outpost to find a lightsaber, where he encountered the spirit of the long-deceased Grand Inquisitor. Skywalker dueled the Inquisitor, and, after defeating him, claimed a functional singular lightsaber pike from the outpost and returned to the Alliance Fleet.
