The Monks Well was a desert location on the planet Tatooine. It was known primarily to locals around Mos Espa, but was obscure enough that offworlders were generally unfamiliar with it. During a search for her husband Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo and her companions discounted Monk’s Well as a possible destination, reasoning that Han would not have known about the location.
