The Montrosa Islands were a long chain of islands located in the middle of Montrosa Ocean on the planet Reytha. The islands were too small to be of any agricultural use, and were too remote to be of any interest to colonizers, which made them ideal for Rebel Alliance airbases and shipyards.
The presence of an Rebel force in 0 ABY necessitated an incursion by Galactic Empire forces led by Darth Vader to destroy them.
