Pillars of the Sky was the second leg of the Dragonbane circuit. While the previous leg, The Long Run, was clear and smooth, enabling high speeds, this leg took the swoop racers through a dangerous swamp.
In addition to traps set up by the Black Seraphs, there were natural obstacles in the form of dead trees, shaped like fingers and colored like bones. Racers were forced to slalom through the trees at high speed, which was very dangerous.
