The Pinnacle Room was a circular chamber with a domed ceiling and walls dominated by massive arched windows located at the highest point of the central spire of the Imperial Palace, formerly the Jedi Temple, on the planet Coruscant. Considered the most sacred Jedi site, it housed the oldest known surviving Jedi texts at the time in a carefully controlled environment, some of which were rumored to date from the Order's founding. Nevertheless, the Jedi High Council held a communal meditation session there on at least one occasion, during the Clone Wars. During the Imperial Era, it was occupied as Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine's seat of power, where it was presumed that Palpatine held court with his second, Darth Vader, and his entourage of courtiers and favor-seekers.
