The Republic Science and Technical Center was a research facility on Coruscant. Circa 21 BBY, it was used to examine the Zillo Beast in an attempt to learn the secrets of its strong scales, which was impervious to any type of weapons, even lightsaber. When the beast gathered strength, it burst out of the facility, unhinging the massive doors at the front.
