Restricted Area

The Restricted Area was a lower level of Coruscant inhabited by beggars and criminals. It could be accessed by a security door which would allow anyone to enter, but would only allow beings to exit by use of a passcode. Beings trying to exit who did not give the proper pass-code would have ten seconds to vacate the premises before the security door would activate autocannons.

When mercenaries kidnapped Queen Padmé Amidala in 32 BBY, they took her to the Restricted Area. Quarsh Panaka had to enter it to rescue her. He learned that the current passcode was "Coruscant has lovely sunsets."
