A rotunda chapel was constructed on the grounds of the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant early in the structure's history. As the Temple grew, it soon expanded past the chapel, but the smaller structure was kept intact within one of the Temple's hallways. It was reserved as a place of meditation for newly-selected Padawans.
