Sector 18

Sector 18 was a region located within the Trymant system, a star system situated in the Subterrel sector of the Outer Rim Territories and Western Reaches regions of the galaxy. During the High Republic Era, the Galactic Republic satellite Republic Security Zone Monitoring Satellite 777B-Alpha monitored sector 18.

In 232 BBY, the Great Hyperspace Disaster spurred Emergences—the reversion from hyperspace to realspace of debris from the destroyed Legacy Run freighter that then proceeded to strike celestial bodies throughout the galaxy. At this time, a Dug worker on the satellite was reviewing their workstation, speaking to themselves while noting that sector 17, sector 18, and sector 19 had nothing interesting of note. However, the Dug was quickly distracted upon noticing hyperspace debris entering the Trymant system around them and told their captain, who issued an evacuation order and alerted the Starlight Beacon space station.
