The Vaj Desert was one of several deserts located on the planet Ingo. When the smuggler Zevel Hortine dropped his cargo to avoid prosecution by the authorities, much of it landed in the Vaj Desert, including the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO. It was here that the droids met the speeder racers, Thall Joben and Jord Dusat, who were using the desert to race in.
