The Valley of Kraau was located on the forest word Ska Gora in the Tython system. During the invasion of the Tython system by the Rakatan Infinite Empire, the Rakata captured Ska Gora and constructed a base in the Valley of Kraau. In approximately 25,792 BBY, the Rakata's enemies, the Je'daii Order, found the base with the help of the Force Hound Xesh, who used Force shadow to sense it. The Je'daii subsequently attacked Ska Gora, but were caught in a trap.
