Ank Ki'Shor

Ank Ki'Shor was a manufacturing world located in the Ank Ki'Shor system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Indrexu sector. Situated within the historical Greater Tion region, it lay on the Perlemian Trade Route super-hyperroute, which connected it to the Estaria and Janodral Mizar systems and served as the boundary between the regions known as the Trans-Hydian and the Slice. The inhabitants of Ank Ki'Shor were not particular as to who they did business with, and during the early years of the Rebel Alliance's existence the world became a key supplier of that organization.

In the early phase of the Galactic Civil War, the Siege of Ank Ki'Shor took place at the world. Although the Galactic Empire ultimately emerged victorious in that engagement, Rebel Y-wing starfighters nevertheless defended Ank Ki'Shor's population against Imperial bombardment, saving thousands of lives by holding off the Empire's attacking TIE bomber craft.
