Bamayar IX was a gas giant formed of emerald- and turquoise-colored gas clouds. Between 7 BBY and around 5 BBY, the trainee pilot Bodhi Rook skillfully flew a Nu-class transport through the clouds of Bamayar IX with a number of his classmates in the Galactic Empire's Terrabe Sector Service Academy aboard. When escaping the Death Star superweapon's blast on the moon Jedha in 1 BBY, Rook vividly imagined his flight through Bamayar IX when watching the storm of the blast's shockwave.
