Marranis was a desert planet located in the Esstran sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Han Solo was seen stopping there for supplies following the evacuation of Yavin. Although unsuitable for a rebel base, Solo and Chewbacca went out into the desert and were captured by wraiths, energy-based shapeshifting lifeforms. While tracking down Solo, Boba Fett and Havet Storm both came to a restaurant on Marranis and then went out into the desert to find Solo. They were both fooled by the wraiths into thinking they found him, while the real Solo was safe.
