Melnea's World

Melnea's World was a gloomy and swampy world located in the Melnea's World system, a part of the Arkanis sector in the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. It was situated on the hyperlane known as the Cranan-Excarga Route, which linked it to the Cranan system as well as the Excarga system of the Herios sector.

Melnea's World was settled by miners from the Tatoo system's planet Tatooine after mining efforts on that world had proved fruitless. It shared its name with Melnea Arnthout, the leader of a group of miner colonists who established the settlement of Bestine on Tatooine. The mines on Melnea's World also proved to be poor, however, and in the decades preceding 43 ABY, the world gained more notability as a smuggler hideout.
