Morcanth was an Unknown Regions planet the galactic neighborhood of which was the subject of a centuries-long war between three spacefaring alien species. At one point, the corrupted Jedi Winslau Da'k imprisoned his former Jedi Master at a fortress on Morcanth, where Da'k resided in wealth and comfort. After the Jedi Master telepathically sought out help from a group of agents of the Rebel Alliance, the rebels ultimately orchestrated an assault on Da'k's fortress and successfully rescued the Jedi.
