New Bornalex was an Outer Rim Territories world situated in the Belsmuth sector. It was home to the bluffbeast creature. By 32 BBY, New Bornalex was a member of the Galactic Republic; however, during the Clone Wars, it was a part of the Republic's enemy, the Confederacy of Independent Systems. As one of the Confederacy's fortified holdings, it was besieged by the Republic during the conflict's Outer Rim Sieges. New Bornalex was the homeworld of the half-Theelin, half-Human Rystáll Sant, and during the Galactic Civil War, the anti–Galactic Empire activist Auren Yomm Baobab trained the Caldera's Crest guerrilla group on the world.
