Niian was a tropical planet of the Niian system, located within the Thaere sector, in the Expansion Region of the galaxy. In 0 BBY, the smuggler Dannen Lifehold was on the planet doing an errand for his mentor, another smuggler named Twolz. While Lifehold was on the errand, Twolz and his crew were killed by stormtroopers, the elite soldiers of the Galactic Empire.
