Nopsin

Nopsin was a planet located in the Nopsin system, a part of the freestanding subsectors portion of the Mid Rim. At one point by approximately 3642 BBY, the reconstituted Sith Empire carried out the operation known as the Cleansing of Nopsin there.

Nopsin at some point became the third and final planet settled by members of the sentient Tren species from the Opitha Tren system. After the establishment of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, Nopsin overwhelmingly voted in favor of joining that state, which led the remaining Tren resistance movements to give up any hope of persuading the Tren to join the Rebel Alliance. At the time, the young Tren idealist Opit-Wenbruh—who was fifty-eight years old by the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the Alliance—was serving in Nopsin's military, going on to serve with the Rebellion after his service with the former ended.
