Noris was a planet that was located within the Noris system, in the Chiss Space sector of the galaxy's Unknown Regions. It was connected to the planets Schesa and Sharb via the hyperlane known as the Path of the Houses, and to the planet Ornfra by another hyperspace route.
Noris was an outlying colony of the sentient Chiss species, and was home to one of the Ruling Families that ruled over the Chiss Ascendancy, the government of the Chiss. At some point before 28 ABY, Noris's resident Ruling Family employed hives of the sentient Killiks as a work force. As a result, the Family fell out of power by that year due to continued reliance on the aliens and was wiped out in a civil conflict against rival Ruling Families.
