Nur was a water-rich ocean moon in the Mustafar system of the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories. It was covered in sodium-rich water and had no natural land masses charted. There was also an apparent lack of indigenous sentient life, leaving the heavily secured underwater Fortress Inquisitorius, as the only known structure on the moon. After an incident on Coruscant, it was used as the headquarters of the Inquisitorius and to contain captured Jedi. In 14 BBY, the moon and fortress were eventually infiltrated by Jedi Knight Cal Kestis and Cere Junda, who were attempting to take back a holocron stolen by the Second Sister.
In 9 BBY, Third Sister traveled to Nur from Daiyu and, on orders from Darth Vader, launched three probes to help aid in the search of Obi-Wan Kenobi. After one located him on Mapuzo, Third Sister, Fifth Brother, and Fourth Sister joined Vader on the planet to capture him. Later that same year, Princess Leia Organa was kidnapped by Third Sister and taken to Nur. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Tala Durith infiltrated the moon to rescue the princess. The duo succeeded and escaped with the help of Wade and Sully.
