Ord Fanthal was a world located in the Ord Fanthal system, a part of the Ojoster sector in the Trans-Hydian portion of the Outer Rim Territories. Ord Fanthal served as an Ordnance/Regional Depot outpost for the Galactic Republic during the Pius Dea Era, a period of time that lasted between approximately 12,000 BBY and 11,000 BBY, despite it being located outside the borders of Republic space.
During that time, Ord Fanthal was situated in what was considered to be Wild Space. When the Republic launched the Crusade of the Wilds against the various alien species inhabiting space north of its borders in 11,791 BBY, Republic forces advanced from Ord Fanthal in the trailing direction.
