Peg Shar I was an industrial world that occupied the first orbital position in the Peg Shar system. It was a part of the Halla sector in the Kashyyyk Region, within the Slice portion of the Mid Rim. The hyperlane known as the Lesser Lantillian Route linked it to Pusat Station and the Saari Ha system.
By 32 BBY, a senator represented Peg Shar I in the Senate of the Galactic Republic. In the Senate Building on Coruscant, the capital world of the Republic, the senator had an office on a level below the offices used by Neimoidian and Quarren senatorial delegations.
