Phelarion was a terrestrial astronomical object in the Phelarion system of the Seswenna sector within the Outer Rim Territories and Western Reaches. It was located in grid square M-18 of the Standard Galactic Grid. Am Imperial Academy of the Galactic Empire was located on Phelarion. The astronomical object shared its name with the Phelarion School, which was located on the planet Lothal.
Following the death of Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin at the Battle of Yavin, many of the wealthy elite of the Imperial capital, Coruscant, sent their children to the academy on Phelarion in the hope of claiming some of the honor attached to Tarkin's reputation and memory. In 35 ABY, the historian Beaumont Kin mentioned Phelarion and its academy in his book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire and claimed that the Coruscanti students sent to Phelarion lacked Tarkin's military instincts.
