Rakaa IV

Rakaa IV was a planet occupying the fourth orbital position in the Rakaa system, on the edge of the Core Worlds. It was a warm world of jungle and forests, with surface water also being present. The planet's flora included the nargk root.

Rakaa IV was the homeworld of the Rakaans, a sentient species of large, predatory, hive-based insectoids. The Rakaans had a complex life-cycle which involved transitioning through five different sexes, with one of the phases involving taking care of their eggs in nesting chambers.

The natives of Rakaa IV rarely traveled beyond their homeworld. One exception was the Rakaan Lud Chud, who established a criminal empire in the Elrood sector of the Outer Rim Territories.
