Sellasas was an Outer Rim Territories world located in the Jjannex sector. During the Galactic Civil War, it hosted an Imperial army garrison of the Galactic Empire. In the wake of the Battle of Yavin, the Rebel Alliance subjected the world to a protracted siege, and Rebel soldiers killed all but one member of a local Srrors'tok merchant family that was caught in the middle of the fighting. The events on Sellasas led the last surviving member of the family, Tyionsis Cex, who had fought against the Rebels, to become a bounty hunter in service to the Empire.
