Tar Morden

Tar Morden was a planet located in the Tar Morden system, within the Vensensor sector of the galaxy's Expansion Region, along the Corellian Trade Spine. It was the site of a Confederacy of Independent System facility that manufactured LM-432 crab droids. These Techno Union factories were taken by the Galactic Republic during the Battle of Tar Morden at the end of the Clone Wars, and tens of thousands of crab droids were captured. These droids were eventually used in live-fire stormtrooper training exercises at the Imperial Academy on the planet Carida.

Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance to Restore the Republic established a starfighter manufacturing enterprise on Tar Morden. Information about this enterprise was gathered by Imperial Intelligence, which sent it in a Plexus Droid Vessel to the Vensensor sector's Imperial Intelligence Sector HQ. Rebels intercepted this vessel, which self destructed, ejecting its I2-CG storage and transceiving droid, which landed on Goratak III.
