Vanan was a terrestrial astronomical object located in the Atravis sector's Vanan system in the Western Reaches portion of the Outer Rim Territories. In 4 ABY, when members of the slaver group known as the Herdessan Guild working for the Sith Lady Lumiya captured a miscreant, Finn, one of them suggested selling the offender as a slave to work in the lava mines on Vanan.
