Allan Kausch is an employee of Lucasfilm and editor of several Star Wars guides and sourcebooks. He served as continuity editor for the Star Wars Galaxy Magazine and Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace The Official Souvenir Magazine.

Around 1994 Kausch assembled a visual timeline of Star Wars, consisting of a horizontal line marked with important events of the saga. It had the form of a scroll, which, unrolled, reached three feet in length.

He had some participation in the Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire multimedia project to ensure accordance of the events throughout the media. He assembled a timeline/flowchart showing events and actions of each character, provided as a guide to each participant of the project. Kausch also decided to include an extra from Jabba's Palace in the story, who eventually was fleshed out as Wrenga Jixton. He also provided a memo to concept artist Doug Chiang about the initial ideas for the starships of the new protagonists, Dash Rendar and Xizor (which would become the Outrider and the Virago). He also decided about the flat look for the wings of the IG-2000.
