Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee CBE CStJ (May 27, 1922 – June 7, 2015) was the actor who played Count Dooku, also named Darth Tyranus, in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and the 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, and he performed the same character's voice in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film of 2008.
Lee was known for his work in horror films produced by Hammer Studios in collaboration with Peter Cushing, who played Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, playing the villain Francisco Scaramanga in the Roger Moore James Bond film The Man With the Golden Gun, portraying Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah in the 1998 film Jinnah, and playing the wizard Saruman in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. On June 13, 2009, Lee was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
