Hassani Shapi

Hassani Shapi (1973 – c. July 2024) was a Kenyan actor who played Eeth Koth in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, though the footage in Episode II was actually reused from The Phantom Menace. Oppo Rancisis was portrayed by Hassani Shapi also in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones (seen in archive footage of the Jedi Council used in conjunction with new material).

Shapi did not return for Attack of the Clones because the Australia-set production wanted to hire local actors. Before pursuing acting, he was a veterinarian in Paris, France.
