Kathleen Kennedy CBE is a film producer and the President of Lucasfilm from 2012 to 2026. She succeeded Lucasfilm's founder and Star Wars creator, George Lucas, in 2012, being personally chosen for the role by Lucas shortly before he sold the company to the The Walt Disney Company. Kennedy served as executive producer for all three films of the Star Wars sequel trilogy as well as other Star Wars standalone films and live-action and animated television series.

Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Steven Spielberg also co-founded the film production company Amblin Entertainment in 1981. Amblin is behind many of the over seventy films that were produced or executive produced by Kennedy, including her first producing credits on Poltergeist and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. In total her produced films have grossed a combined 11 Billion US Dollars globally. Kennedy and her husband Frank Marshall also co-founded the The Kennedy/Marshall Company in 1992. Kennedy is also a recipient of numerous film production awards and has been nominated eight times for an Academy Award, and she also sits on numerous boards, including chairing the American Film Institute's board of trustees and was the President of the Producers Guild of America from 2001 to 2002. After leaving Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy intends to return to full-time producing other movies.
