Tom Kane

Tom Kane (April 15, 1962 – May 18, 2026) was a voice actor who had worked on many Star Wars productions, including films, television, and video games. He often served as a voice double for Admiral Ackbar, C-3PO, and Yoda, previously voiced in the films by Erik Bauersfeld, Anthony Daniels, and Frank Oz, respectively. He had multiple recurring roles in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series (2008–2020), not only voicing Yoda but also the show's newsreel narrator and Admiral Yularen.

On December 30, 2020, Kane's daughter Sam disclosed that her father had suffered a left-sided stroke in October that left him with right-sided weakness and damage to the speech center of his brain. Kane underwent treatment for his injuries and later retired from voice acting. He died on May 18, 2026.
