Dune-rat

A dune-rat was a type of rat that lived in warrens in deserts.

In 9 BBY, two members of the Narkis Anchorites—a group assisting with the restoration of the Jedi Archives—within the Archive on the moon Jedha discussed Imperial patrols keeping one of the anchorites awake at night. The other anchorite remarked that the Narkis Anchorites were dune-rats to the Empire, hidden and safe.

In 33 ABY, the scavenger Rey engaged in combat with two thugs attempting to take her scavenged materials on the planet Jakku. After she knocked one thug away with her quarterstaff, their accomplice threatened Rey and referred to her as a "dune-rat."
