Ethrani ourobouros

An Ethrani ourobouros was a creature from the Ethrani system of the Valahari sector, a part of the D'Astan sector of the Outer Rim Territories and the New Territories. Ethrani ourobouroi were known for devouring their own tails. During a battle near the planet Coruscant in 19 BBY, the leader of the Confederacy of Independent Systems Dooku—secretly apprentice to the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious—mentally compared his master's plan to convert Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker to their side by killing his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi to an Ethrani ourobouros consuming its own tail.
