The Jastaal were an avian sentient species that spoke in a trilling language. They had wings that partially extended when they walked, lifting their bodies so that they appeared to be half-gliding along, bouncing on the wind. At some point between 2 BBY and 1 BBY, a number of Jastaal were present on the planet Bonadan at the same time that the smuggler Han Solo was there investigating an enslavement ring. After noticing them, Solo reflected that their plumage was beautiful.
