Canon Legends version → Linked from 7 articles
Katarns were dangerous and deadly predators that were native to the planet Kashyyyk, where they prowled the deeper, lightless levels of the world's complex vertical ecosystem. The imposing Katarn-class Commando Armor worn by clone commandos of the Grand Army of the Republic, was named for the deadly creatures, and the armor's capabilities lived up to the name.
