The llaya was a creature that dwelled on the Expansion Region planet Kinyen. Llayas threatened the herds of gamwidge farmers but could be driven by Tayan falcons, a bird that shrieked and dive-bombed llayas. The falcon's methods of scaring away llayas were related to the concepts of pacifism and exile among Kinyen's native Gran species.
