The Melitto were a species in the galaxy with heightened sensory capabilities. In 3628 BBY, before the start of a third Galactic War between the reconstituted Sith Empire and Galactic Republic, the Sith Lord and Dark Councilor Darth Malora used genetic engineering and Sith alchemy to create mutated Geonosians. Those Geonosians were developed from various species which included the Melitto, from which she took their sensory capabilities.
