Piranha eels were a type of eel that traveled in shoals. In 382 BBY, while traveling through the treacherous atmosphere of Wild Space's Planet X known as the Veil, the Path of the Open Hand Force religion member Marda Ro noticed balls of liquid swarming toward the Scupper, the ship of the smuggler Sunshine Dobbs that Ro and her companions were traveling aboard, that resembled a shoal of piranha eels.
