The sandfly (also spelled as sand fly or sand-fly) was a species of insect found on the planet Tatooine. Sand flies could be found sitting on moisture vaporators, buzzing in the cracked eaves of pourstone buildings in the town of Anchorhead, and inhabiting desert caves. The insects buzzed around and disturbed banthas.
