Skipper squid

A skipper squid was a creature that the Human Royal Naboo Security Forces Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes was familiar with. In 32 BBY, during the Battle of Naboo, the militiagung soldiers of the Gungan Grand Army used large amounts of boomas, explosive weapons utilizing blue slimy plasma, against the battle droids of the Trade Federation. In a comment made to a superior in the battle's aftermath, the Naboo-native Sykes compared the plasma slime-covered site of the engagement to a giant skipper squid having exploded at that location.
